Terms of Service

Effective date: April 20, 2026

These terms govern your use of figurecalc.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.

Use of the Site

The Site is free to use for personal and commercial estimation. You don't need an account. You may bookmark pages, share links, and reference results in quotes or project plans.

You may not scrape, mirror, or republish the Site's content in bulk. You may not embed our calculators on other sites without written permission.

No professional advice

Calculator results are estimates, not engineering, contracting, or legal advice. They help you plan and budget. They do not replace a licensed contractor, structural engineer, building inspector, or local permit authority.

For load-bearing structures, electrical, plumbing, gas, or anything that requires a permit, consult a qualified professional and your local building code.

Accuracy and warranty

We verify formulas against manufacturer specifications and trade publications, but material density, local pricing, and site conditions vary. Always confirm material quantities with your supplier and round up for waste.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Intellectual property

Site content, including text, layout, branding, and calculator code, is owned by FigureCalc and protected by US and international copyright law. Math formulas are not copyrightable, so you're free to use the underlying formulas yourself.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you click and buy, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate revenue does not change which products we recommend.

Third-party links

The Site links to third-party retailers, manufacturers, and reference materials. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, prices, or availability.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FigureCalc and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, including over-ordering, under-ordering, project delays, cost overruns, or decisions made based on calculator output.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold FigureCalc harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which FigureCalc is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the new terms.
